Napoli Italy, otherwise known as Naples Italy, the world famous Italian city credited with birth of of Pizza, the romantic guitar and the Mandolin. Now in my book , Pizza and the city that gave it birth is genuine reason for excitement and celebration, but Naples is also an old historic city rich in tradition and culture. The city of Naples, or Napoli as the Italians call it, is said to be 2,800 years old making it one of the older if not oldest cities in the west.
The History of Napoli Italy was not always pretty. Before uniting with Sicily and then the formation of Italy, Naples was the center of the Naples Kingdom which was formed in 1282. Later on in World War 2, Napoli won the distinction of being on of the hardest hit and most bombed of the Italian cities. Now Naples Italy is a modern center of trade and commerce complete with office districts, skyscapers and booming markets.
